Quick & Easy Watch Band Resizing: How to Get the Perfect Fit!
Don't let a loose Apple Watch band cramp your style.
Our guide will teach you how to make your Amy band fit like a glove, so you can focus on what really matters: making a statement with your wristwear. Get ready to turn heads!
In this blog, we’ll guide you through the steps to make your watch fit perfectly on your wrist.
Step 1: Gather Your Tools To resize your watch band, you'll need a few tools:
- A thumb tack or push pin
- A small hammer or something hard to tap the thumb tack or push pin
- A soft cloth to protect your watch from scratches
Step 2: Identify Which Link to Remove
The first thing you need to do is to identify which link to remove. Look at the watch band and find the arrows on the underside of the band. These arrows indicate the direction that the pins need to be pushed out of the links.
Step 3: Secure the Watch Band
To prevent the watch from moving around while you're working on it, lay it down on a flat surface and wrap a soft cloth around it to protect it from scratches. Make sure the watch is secure and won’t slip while you’re working on it.
Step 4: Insert the Thumb Tack or Push Pin
Insert the tip of the thumb tack or push pin into the hole on the side of the link that has the arrow pointing towards it. Make sure the tip of the thumb tack or push pin is centered in the hole. As a helpful tip, hold both the thumb tack pin and the band at the same time. This helps stabilize the thumb tack as it's being hammered, ensuring that it can effectively push the pin link of the band out.
Step 5: Tap the Thumb Tack or Push Pin
Using a small hammer or something hard, lightly tap the end of the thumb tack or push pin. The pin will start to come out from the opposite side of the link. Keep tapping the pin gently until it comes out completely.
Step 6: Repeat the Process
Repeat the process on the link that you want to remove. Once you’ve removed the pin, you can take out the link by gently pulling the two halves of the band apart.
Step 7: Reattach the Watch Band
If you removed more than one link, you'll need to reattach the two halves of the watch band. Line up the holes in the links and insert the pin back in the opposite direction that you removed it from. Use the hammer or something hard to tap the pin back in place until it's flush with the watch band.
Step 8: Test the Fit
After reattaching the watch band, try it on to see if it fits comfortably. If it's still too big, repeat the process until you achieve the perfect fit.
And that’s it!
With just a thumb tack or push pin and a few simple steps, you can resize your watch and make it fit perfectly on your wrist. Remember to take your time and work carefully, and don’t be afraid to ask for help if you need it.
